Blue Hills Ski Area- A skiing facility located on Blue Hills Ave. in Milton offers ski and snowboarding lessons as well as skiing trails and lifts during the winter.  For a season pass and to find out more: http://www.thenewbluehills.com/

Mass. Department of Conservation and Recreation Activities in the Blue Hills Reservation- There are 125 miles of scenic trails in the Blue Hills.  Blueberries in July! Max Ulin Ice Skating Rink- Operated by the Mass. Dept. of Conservation and Recreation. Located at the foot of the Blue Hills. Call (617) 696-9869.for schedule.

Cunningham Pool- Milton has a beautiful outdoor Olympic-size pool on Edgehill Road in Cunningham Park that is open to all Milton residents and operated by the Cunningham Foundation.  Special hours for families and adults.  To find out more call 617-696-3263.

Blue Hills Trailside Museum- Operated by the Mass. Audubon Society on Blue Hill Ave offers wonderful nature programs. (617) 333-0690.

Camping- Appalachian Mountain Club cabins on Ponkapoag Pond. Call (781) 961-7007 for reservations.

Bike Path-  Begins at Central Ave. in Milton near trolley stop, travels through Pope John Paul II Park and the marshes, and ends at Port Norfolk in Dorchester.

Turner’s Pond- On Central Ave. near Hinckley Road in Milton.  Scenic walking trail around pond.  Quiet and pretty.  Good bird watching.
